Pacheri Nenas is a sweet,sour and spicy chutney(dip); with chunks
of pineapple.It is served with chips or white rice, curry and vegetables.

1 ripe pineapple;cored and pitted...cut into small pieces
4 small red onions          )
2 cloves garlic                ) pounded
1 teaspoon dried shrimp  )
4cm ginger; shredded
2 teaspoon Eagle brand meat curry powder
;mix with a little water
2 teaspoon dried red chillies;coarse ground
2 fresh green chillies; slice lengthwise
2 fresh red chillies;       "           "
1 cinnamon stick; 4cm long
2 cloves (a spice)
1 teaspoon krisek; (dry roasted fresh grated coconut)
1 tablespoon tamarind pulp;mix with a little water and strain
2 teaspoon sugar
salt to taste
3 tablespoon oil

Method of preparation:

Heat oil in a wok. Add ground dried red chillies and fry. Then, add the pounded ingredients,ginger,sliced green and red chillies, cloves, cinnamon stick and the curry powder paste. Fry till the smell is fragrant. Next add tamarind juice, chopped pineapple, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil. Add krisek and turn  down flame. Simmer. Serve with chips or white rice, curry and vegetables.
